All the News that Fits January 2020
Neighbors,
Now is a good time to remove Nandina and cats claw from the West Bouldin Creek Greenbelt. Both are clearly visible and poison ivy is not abundant yet.
We’ll try a different method this time – instead of digging out invasives, we’ll cut them back to the ground, hoping that if we do this for a couple of years, they’ll give up 🙂
We’ll also take off the bright red berries from Nandina – a very good job for children – and dispose of them separately.
Please join us for an hour or two next Saturday, January 25, starting at 9 am. Meeting place will be the entrance at 1200 South 6th Street.
Bring scissors or clippers as well as work gloves. Remember to wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts to protect against p.i.
We can make quite a difference with even10-15 people.
Thanks,
Ingrid Weigand
